The Fair Isle Ring

A ring for knitting

The Fair Isle ring is a practical tool as well as a beautiful piece of jewellery designed by Lone Løvschal.

The ring can be worn on the index finger as a little helper separating the threads when you’re knitting Fair Isle patterns. When not in use it fits on your little finger or the ring finger.

Strikkeringen - A Handmade luxury tool for knitting

Silversmith Lone Løvschal is a dedicated knitter and had the idea of making a knitting ring, that would be nice to wear as a piece of jewellery as well as a little helper on the finger, when knitting with more strands. Lone is known for her organic lines and the ring had to be adjustable in order to sit tight on the index finger. The bended silver wire gives a friendly feel, a good stability and in five different sizes it makes a good fit to everyone. The spheres offers a possibility to play with colour and allows the ring to separate the threads avoiding hooks that will make it impossible to wear as a piece of jewellery.

The glass spheres is, like the ring, handmade in the workshop and colours can vary slightly, which gives the rings a unique and playfull look.

In pure silver the ring becomes classy and offers a scandi-feel and with spheres in different kinds om pearls or gemstones, the ring becomes a highly luxurious knitting accessory. It it also made in gold, but only on commission.

The Ring comes in a wide variety of colours and materials.
